22 glimpses of the Ballestas Islands, Peru

It is a rare visual. Ballestas Islands, a nature’s paradise, home to aquatic birds forming carpets on the islands, huge sea lions laying on the rocky curves, dolphins leading the way, penguins, terns, cormorants, pelicans, vultures, Peruvian boobies assembling in this unique reserve. We take a photo tour with 22 glimpses of the Ballestas Islands, a huge celebration of nature in this paradise in the South coast of Peru.

The Tour Begins

Well yes, penguins far north of Antarctica, can also be found on these isalnds. We were lucky to spot a few Humboldt penguins on our trip!

We can be busy with the huge number of wildlife but difficult to miss the amazing views of the rock formations and fort-like primitive gateways in multiple places.
