Many claim that Playa Hermosa is the most beautiful beach of Santa Teresa. We can neither deny nor agree. There are many gorgeous beaches in and around Santa Teresa, each having its own charm. How can we choose just one as the best? So, let us go by the name. Hermosa in Spanish means ‘beautiful’. And there is no denying that Playa Hermosa in Santa Teresa is a beautiful beach.
Santa Teresa has grown to become a thriving beach destination among local and international tourists alike. But at Playa Hermosa, you will not feel the crowd. The flat beach, lined with swaying palm trees and lush jungle that lies beyond, has light sand stretching for miles. It is so vast that you will always find a piece of beach all to yourself.
Activities in Playa Hermosa, Santa Teresa
Playa Hermosa is the kind of place where you would want to lay your beach towel, lie down and write poetry while gazing at the ocean horizon. You do not need a plethora of activities to enjoy this beach.
There is not much beachfront development either at Playa Hermosa. It is primarily all jungle along the length of the beach. So, if you are looking for specific activities, think about walking or running on the beach and watching sunsets. Sunsets here can be glorious as the wet sand of low tide becomes the mirror of the setting sun.
But if you want to spend more active time on the beach, grab a surf board and sign up for surfing lessons. If you are a seasoned surfer, you will enjoy surfing the waves here. Playa Hermosa is known for its excellent surfing with wide surf breaks.
If you plan to swim in the ocean, be careful of the strong rip currents and channel at the north end.
